The Scream (after Edvard Munch) | 3 x 4 | acrylic painting on mini canvas
This is my miniature version of The Scream which was originally painted by the Norwegian expressionist artist Edvard Munch in 1893.
Below is a close-up of my painting.

The environment of The Scream is often compared to that which an individual suffering from depersonalization disorder experiences.
In 1978, the Munch scholar Robert Rosenblum suggested that the strange, sexless creature in the foreground of the painting was probably inspired by a Peruvian mummy.
