About the Artist

I was born in Lincolnshire, England during the early seventies but moved to Australia with my family when I was 2 years old and grew up in south-east Queensland where my artistic endeavours manifested themselves in early childhood through an avid interest in comics and a love for fantasy films like The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth and Legend.

After finishing high school, I attended the Queensland College of Art where I obtained a Bachelor of Visual Arts in Graphic Design. Since then I have spent several years establishing a strong internet presence and my artwork and designs are sold as digital prints, greeting cards, custom t-shirts and various other products through a range of online outlets.

Over time my creative output has evolved from intricate fantasy paintings and whimsical designs into a form of urban expressionism that incorporates a combination of traditional methods and various digital techniques. My recent lowbrow art and comic book inspired, psycho-surreal images are representative of this new and exciting creative approach.

Although I received professional training as a graphic designer I’m primarily self taught when it comes to painting. I have been focusing on raising my fine art profile by entering a variety of competitions and intend to exhibit my paintings in the near future.
